As a creative director, Mncedisi lives by a simple creed. It is the lucidly modest notion that “Brand DNA matters”. He runs his company, Labinovation, on this philosophy. From his early days at Platoon Branding Advertising, he has not only developed a distinctive quality to his work that sets him apart from most Art Directors, but has gained invaluable business acumen that has allowed him to run two successful businesses.

 

He quickly designed his way up the ranks when he joined TBWA/Tequila Advertising before moving to the Jupiter Drawing Room. He then moved further up the ranks to senior designer at Brand New Advertising, before working for the Parliament of the Republic of SA and Netcare Limited. In 2013, Mncedisi gave in to his entrepreneurial calling and started his first company, 76 Classroom, before setting up the Labinovation design and activation agency.

 

Having studied at Vega School of Brand Communication, one of South Africa’s master class institutions in creative brand leadership - Mncedisi has developed a keen creative brand leadership understanding that is crucial to the day-to-day operations and success of the 21st Century business. Over the years, he has worked on a plethora of what is South Africa’s most coveted brands including but not limited to: MTN, UNISA, Standard Bank, FNB, Lemon Farm, Oasis Water, IMC (Brand South Africa), Sasol, JET, LEGIT, ABSA and the Gauteng Department of Education.

Responsible for overseeing and supervising all of the company’s activities, Scelo is the man tasked with the business of running the business successfully. In the execution of his duties, he exhibits a proficient working knowledge of all the departments under his stewardship. His abilities also extend to law and human resources. From his days at D’bete Financial CC where he started as a non-executive member to being the co-owner at Mahlambi Couriers CC, Scelo has exhibited exceptional business administrative expertise.

 

He further demonstrated his business acumen in the 8 years he spent as Chairman of the Emseni Community Project and 76 Classroom. He currently shares his expertise with 76 Classroom and Labinovation (design and activation agency) in the capacity of Business Development and General Manager.

 

At tertiary level, he enrolled at UNISA for a B-Com in Law and Business Management. These fields of study have equipped him with requisite skill base to execute his roles and responsibilities efficiently.

 

 

Currently studying towards a Diploma in Marketing with IMM. Her work experience includes working for UNILEVER as a Brand Development Consultant, Dream Catcher Multi Media as an Event Co-ordinator and Netcare Limited where she worked as a Marketing Project Manager.
